It gets better!

The Hobbs night now has an added addition of Shu Uemura ladies coming along to do a make over and give away goodie bags! *skip*

Had a fairly awful day - a five and a half hour meeting. Nobody should have to endure a five and a half hour meeting that starts at 8.30am. Tomorrow I have a four hour meeting but at least we are getting lunch in it. Thank god that tomorrow is a) pay day b) Friday.

Hobbs

Today I had a meeting with the PR girl from Hobbs and she gave me the latest brochure for Spring/Summer which is very pretty with pink tissue paper! I sweet talked her into paying for champagne for the next Hobbs work night which will be in mid-March. Hurrah. I really do get far too excited about this but I just love having a stylist on hand to dress me. Maybe I am a Barbie doll at heart and like being dressed up. Anyway, the clothes look very nice, there is a divine pair of green sandals that I already want.

And I had my interim review today as well which went swimmingly but I don't like to boast so I won't. Suffice to say that clearly the place would fall apart without me organising Hobbs evenings and Comic Relief quiz nights! *ahem*

Thank you for replying to my Dallas query Disco. I am mightily annoyed that it is not repeated. I suppose no Dynasty either, you would have told me. And yes, the flat has a patio - it is lovely! You shall have to swig martinis on the patio with me and listen to Cole Porter.

Pop Up Video!

OK, I am sad. We all know this so I make no excuses for loving Pop Up Video. VH1, weeknights at 10pm. Any programme that randomly tells me facts about Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart gets my vote.

I think my TV tastes are stuck in the 80s since I am enjoying the repeats of LA Law on ITV3 (11am weekdays) FAR too much. And I find myself humming the tune at work.

You can take your Little Britains and Shamelesses and keep them. 80s TV rules! Do they repeat Dallas anywhere? MissDisco? You must know the answer to this!

The flat is ours and we are going to be broke!

MrT liked the flat as predicted so today I have signed away vast quantities of money and we move in on the 26 Feb. Very exciting. And they are going to paint lots of it as we can't live with a sunshine yellow kitchen.

I am already planning cocktail parties on the patio and how I can sparkle to maximum amount in 2 bathrooms!

New abode

I think I need "time to update blog" time set aside! So the big news is the whole flat hunting thing. Today, I took action and I had 20 mins before my hospital appt so I went into an estate agents and signed up and I found myself going back at 5 and looking at 2 flats. Both were lovely but one is going to be mine - oh yes.

It is down by the river (Putney for those who don't know, ie anyone else except DiscoDolly) and is a lovely converted flat with 3 (count 'em) bedrooms, a lovely kitchen/diner and 2 (yes, 2!) bathrooms! The main bedroom is way upstairs in a converted attic and is gorgeous with an en-suite bathroom! I am so excited at the prospect of 2 bathrooms. Sparkles ahoy! It even has a little patio area for MrT to smoke in and a separate tiny laundry room (well, a room with a washing machine in). I am trying not to get too excited in case we don't get it. Oh, and MrT needs to look at it but I know he will like it. It is 2 minutes from everything and I want it. I wish we could buy it but until I win the lottery...

The other one was also really nice but not the right location and all on one level which I am not keen on. MrT has been given strict instructions to view it tomorrow come what may.

Then will come the move, which I don't want to think about. Anyone want to organise my whole move? No???

In the meantime work is manic as a manic thing and I have foolishly agreed to a)organise a massive (200 people) Comic Relief quiz night and b) do curating at the Tate for the Turner Whistler Monet exhibition. I must be insane.

I bought a top today - from The Gap, first thing I have bought in The Gap for sometime. It is a green cotton/cashmere sweater. You will have seen it I am sure. I heart it. It looked nothing on the hanger and suprisingly nice on. Hurrah. Only £30.

I have been shopping all week. Online shopping is a menace. Boden package will be with me shortly I hope!

I want a fountain pen

I was browsing on the Lush forum and Auntie Pamela mentioned fountain pens and now I want one really badly. I had forgotten how much I love them. Damm and blast! And she attached a website and it is beautiful.
