New abode

I think I need "time to update blog" time set aside! So the big news is the whole flat hunting thing. Today, I took action and I had 20 mins before my hospital appt so I went into an estate agents and signed up and I found myself going back at 5 and looking at 2 flats. Both were lovely but one is going to be mine - oh yes.

It is down by the river (Putney for those who don't know, ie anyone else except DiscoDolly) and is a lovely converted flat with 3 (count 'em) bedrooms, a lovely kitchen/diner and 2 (yes, 2!) bathrooms! The main bedroom is way upstairs in a converted attic and is gorgeous with an en-suite bathroom! I am so excited at the prospect of 2 bathrooms. Sparkles ahoy! It even has a little patio area for MrT to smoke in and a separate tiny laundry room (well, a room with a washing machine in). I am trying not to get too excited in case we don't get it. Oh, and MrT needs to look at it but I know he will like it. It is 2 minutes from everything and I want it. I wish we could buy it but until I win the lottery...

The other one was also really nice but not the right location and all on one level which I am not keen on. MrT has been given strict instructions to view it tomorrow come what may.

Then will come the move, which I don't want to think about. Anyone want to organise my whole move? No???

In the meantime work is manic as a manic thing and I have foolishly agreed to a)organise a massive (200 people) Comic Relief quiz night and b) do curating at the Tate for the Turner Whistler Monet exhibition. I must be insane.

I bought a top today - from The Gap, first thing I have bought in The Gap for sometime. It is a green cotton/cashmere sweater. You will have seen it I am sure. I heart it. It looked nothing on the hanger and suprisingly nice on. Hurrah. Only £30.

I have been shopping all week. Online shopping is a menace. Boden package will be with me shortly I hope!

Hello my darling - in an attempt to emulate you, i've just started up my own blog page http://sparklybrunette.blogspot.com/

i'm going to dedicate it to sparkliness and reviews :-)

so so exciting about your flat...I've just finished moving myself (to the leafy St John's Wood area) and we are finally rid of boxes and i'm beginning to reinstate the proper amount of sparkles in the bathroom and bedroom.

poor MrBru does not know what's hit him - when I tried to order some new stuff from Jo Malone online and the order wouldn't go through, I was a bit annoyed as I wanted a January pick-me-up treat...MrBru was heard to utter 'what? you mean we are on reduced rations at the moment? what on earth does all that stuff do?' - ach. boys.

I too have been shopping...BlissLabs is my new fave beauty place (watch blog space for reviews) and Monsoon seem to be getting all my clothes cash. Just bought a very girly skirt and top combo (black with large light green floral print) for a wedding next month.

If you are doing the lottery count me in as an investor. I'm off to try and revive my credit card...

Getting my house was both one of the hardest and one of the most satisfying things I've ever done. Be prepared to be more patient than you ever think you'll have to be, and hope you're quicker than the two years that the whole exercise took me! Good luck.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Bru, I have e-mailed you. Uber, we are just renting so it should be OK.
