I was browsing on the Lush forum and Auntie Pamela mentioned fountain pens and now I want one really badly. I had forgotten how much I love them. Damm and blast! And she attached a website and it is beautiful.

I love writing with my nothing special Parker (when ever I do write these days rather than keyboard). There's something very organic about writing in pencil, and something very 'for best' about the care I need to take to use ink.
I'm quite cack handed and manage to get ink all over me even when I write in biro. For some reason I think I have magic hands that attract ink. Whatever pen I use my hands are always covered so generally I consider fountain pens a bad idea. Also when we were made to write with fountain pens at school I was always dropping mine on the floor and busting the nib.
ah - I have a very lovely Mont Blanc fountain pen that was bought for me when I qualified a few years ago. I hardly ever use it though as I'm terrified of losing it - stupid really...but I guess it becomes an airloom or something
